TESTIMONIALS

The Alamo House was my saving grace coming back from a relapse into hard substances. The structure, support, and community of the home helped me to learn how to participate in life. I was met with both truth and compassion as I reconciled with how to begin recovery again. Alamo house taught me the skills of living and cohabitating that my addiction had stolen from me. I was held accountable even when I didn’t want to be and that ultimately helped me to become a person of strong integrity and moral standing. I didn’t know how badly I needed the support and care of the team and residents at Alamo house. I will forever be indebted to Justin and his team for helping me start my life again. Four years later, my life and recovery is shining in a way I couldn’t have predicted as a result of making the choice to move into a safe and structured environment.

My transition from incarceration, to treatment… to freedom was intimidating and daunting… I feel incredibly grateful that this endeavor was both supported and appreciated by the management team at Alamo house. I was gifted the opportunity to have structural freedom… surrounded by other men who wanted and were willing to change. I was able to make mistakes.. learn and grow under the guidance of men I trusted and who had already traveled similar paths on their route to recovery. I have sustained lasting relationships with and through this experience with alumni and staff.. and gathered 3-1/2 years clean and sober built on the backbone and significance of my Alamo house partnership.
